Dear Parents, In our last class, we focused on the history and rules of debating, and we held a debate on the topic of whether homework is good or bad. In the next class, students will be engaged in a debate on global issue Climate & Environment. Each student has been assigned a country to represent, and they must come prepared with their country's stance on this issue.

We will also talk about United Nations and women and health.

The countries as assigned are:

Eric- Maldives

Aaron- Canada

Nathan- Australia

Cormac- China

Kiaan- USA

William- Brazil

All students have to come prepared to understand the environmental issues facing their country.

Their speech should be of 1.5 minutes and should include:

1) Introduction about themselves

2) Description of the problem their country is facing.

3)Description of their view on how the other countries are contributing to the problem.

4) Their solution to the problem.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the next class.

To ensure active participation, each student has been assigned a country to represent, and will be required to come prepared with a speech that covers the problems their country is facing in regard to the agenda, as well as resolutions for the same. Their speech should be not more than 2minutes. The countries assigned to our students are as follows:

Nathan-Canada
Kian-India
Eric-South Korea
Aaron-USA

I request all parents to kindly encourage their child to come prepared with the speech in the manner as discussed in the class.
