Debate: Junior Model UN (July 12-16)

Hi Everyone!

Thank you to all students for a great final week of Debate: Junior Model UN. I am very proud of everyone for the knowledge learned this week about the United Nations and global issues. Well done!

Today we conducted our very first formal debate about how we can stop the global issue of climate change. Each student represented a country and gave their position on way's the country could be more eco-friendly and stop the rising issue of climate change.

I am very appreciative of everyone for an awesome week of Debate Junior Model UN. Thank you to all students! Stay tuned for a report card and certificate of completion in your email within the next couple of days.

Have a great weekend!

- Marissa :)

Hello Everyone!

What an amazing day of camp! Thank you to everyone for sharing their ideas about different global issues.

I am very impressed with the participation in our third debate topic: If students are failing, should they go to Saturday school? Yes or No?

Today we learned about different global issues that the United Nations works hard to try and help. The topics we covered where global warming and climate change, girls and women, global health and data and technology! We also became educated on the practice of negotiation.

Tomorrow we will learn about International Diplomacy and prepare for our official debate.

Remember to think about what country you want to represent and what global issue from the four categories we should debate!

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me. Thank you :)

See everyone tomorrow!

- Marissa
