Is there parking near you?
We have limited street parking in front of our centre. The closest parking lot is north of us at Sobeys. Please use code CROSSTOWN when parking on the street to get 2 hours of free parking.
What is your refund policy?
Since our teachers take a lot of effort putting together the class that ensures all the kids are encouraged and move to the next level in a fun way, we hope you understand that we are not able to provide refunds once a class is booked.
What schools do you pick up from?
We offer FREE pick up from the following schools:
Maurice Cody,Eglinton Junior Public Academy,Sunnybrook SchoolSt Monica’s Catholic School
All children walk to the centre on foot.
What happens if my child misses a class, do you offer make ups?
Please contact the instructor of your program to see how best they can manage the situation.
Should I bring my child in if they are sick?
NO! If your child has a fever or a productive cough (coughing with stuff coming out) please allow them to rest at home. Our centre is full of creativity and noise, hardly the place for a sick child who would rather be sleeping.
My child has severe food allergies
We do not allow any peanut, tree-nut or shellfish in the centre. If your child has any allergies please let us know and we will accomodate. We do not serve any child food or snacks due to the risk of allergies.
Where are the camps located?
Our main location for the camps is 556 Mount Pleasant Road (Mount Pleasant & Belsize). There is limited street parking available.
Do you provide lunch?
Due to the high number of kids with allergies, we are no longer providing lunch or snacks. Please send your child to camp with a peanut, tree-nut and shellfish free lunch and snacks.
Do you provide water?
Tons of it! All you need to do is send your camper with a reusable water bottle.
Do the campers have any outdoor time?
We try to spend at least 2-3 hours outdoors in summer if the weather is nice. Weather permitting, we even try to have lunch outdoors.
Outdoor activity takes place at our local park which is less than a block away.
What are the Camp Hours?
Camp hours are weekdays from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We have free time available from 3.00 - 3.30pm. During this time campers can be picked up or those staying for after care can have down time.
Before-camp supervision is available from 7:30 – 9:00 a.m.
After-camp supervision is available from 3.30 – 6:00 p.m.
The fee for our Extended Care program is $85 per week (includes both before and after camp). A late charge of $25 is applied for pickup after 6:10 p.m.
Do you allow phones / devices in the camp?
No! We find that when kids are on their devices they do not participate and this reduces the enjoyment for everyone. If your child requires their phones after camp, they may leave it in their bags. Please note, the camp is not responsible for any damages or loss to personal devices.
What happens if a camper looses something?
All lost and found items are kept at our lost and found station located at the back of our centre. A camper or parent can look through the box at any time to see if we have their lost items. At the end of each week, we will bring all lost and found items outside to the pick-up location for parents and campers to look through.
How are extreme weather conditions handled at camp?
Oh how we yearn for those warm, sunny days only to realize that it's just so much more comfortable when you are in airconditioning!
And that's just what we do! Turn on the aircondition!
How are behaviour or disciplinary issues handled at camp?
A camper code of conduct is included in our parents’ information package for you to review with your child before coming to camp. Camp rules are explained to campers on the first day of each week. If there is a conflict at camp, our staff are trained to work with the campers to resolve the situation fairly. We do not tolerate bullying, violent behavior, inappropriate language or any behavior by a camper that would endanger themselves, another camper, counsellor or the group as a whole. At the counsellors’ or Camp Director’s discretion, the camper may be given a time-out to reflect on their actions and discuss appropriate behavior moving forward. Parents will be informed of any disciplinary action taken for inappropriate behaviour. In serious circumstances, when a camper’s behavior is repeatedly putting themselves or other campers at risk, we will not allow the camper to return to camp and no refund will be provided.
What happens if a camper is injured or is not feeling well during a camp day?
If a camper is injured and requests to speak to a parent we will call the parent on file. In the case of more serious injuries, we will contact emergency medical services (EMS) if required and parents or caregivers will be notified immediately. Campers will be transported to the hospital by the EMS staff.
How do you select camp staff?
Our camp staff are highly qualified and have either trained with us for a while or are subject matter experts in the field. They would all have police checks and are vetted.
What is the camp cancellation policy?
Our camps are small and planning for the camps happens several months before when we get information from you about your child. Due to this, we hope you understand that we are unable to provide refunds.
