The Global Investment Challenge is an amazing opportunity for kids ages 11-17 to get hands-on experience in the world of trading and investing.
What is the Global Investment Challenge?
How does the challenge work?
In this virtual investment challenge, 500 individual participants (aged 11-17) from around the world receive a virtual portfolio of $30,000 from which they can invest as much as they want.
They can invest in stocks, mutual funds, foreign exchange, cryptocurrency, and fixed income from around the world.
The portfolio with the highest amount on March 6 2023, at 4:30 PM EST will be the winner and receive the prize
Do I need to know anything about investing?
The competition is designed for kids who have no prior experience in trading and to help them get not only a better understanding but also a deeper appreciation of how the financial markets work.
Our contestants come from all over the world and have varying levels of financial knowledge so it's a great way to make new friends and learn life skills like investing.
There are many prizes available to be won in this competition. All prizes will be awarded digitally via email to the winners after we complete a required identity check on the recipient. In the unlikely event of a tie, the prize money will be divided equally between all winners.
All participants will also be awarded an official certificate for taking part in the competition. The top three prizes are:

Is there an entry fee?
Yes, the entry fee to participate is $35 CAD.
How do I place my trades?
Login information will be provided to participants after they submit a registration form (a link to this form will be sent following the purchase of a spot in the competition). Upon completion of that form, participants will be sent more information regarding login and facilitation of the challenge. For this competition, participants will be using Explorer Hop’s proprietary trading platform, which is what we use to teach students enrolled in our investment programs.

How are the prizes divded for each category?
Please note that competitors can only get one prize and the overall top three finishers in the challenge will not be awarded an age category prize.

The top three finishers in each age category (Age 11, Age 12, Age 13 and so forth, up to Age 17) will receive Explorer Hop Gift Cards for their success.
