Hi Everyone 

Welcome to our camp!  My name is Mahveen and I will be your camp counsellor. 

We're so excited to welcome your child to our in-person summer programs! 🎉We  can’t wait to meet the kids and see the amazing things they’ll create, build, and explore with us this summer!

To help you get ready, we’ve included all the important information you’ll need below. Please take a few minutes to read it— It's packed with helpful details about what to bring, what to expect, and how to make the most of the experience!

I love teaching Junior Camp Millionaire because it is a fun, engaging and interactive take on finance literacy. We make sure that you learn everything you need to know about managing your finances while maximising the fun you have! 

In this blog, you will get information on what you need to bring, updates about the program and all the information you need.  This blog will be updated daily so please bookmark this page and refer to it during the camp!

General Information: 

📍 Location
All of our in-person summer camps will be held at:
St. Clements School, 21 St. Clements Avenue, Toronto, ON M4R 1G8

🕒 Please arrive at 12:45pm! 
👋 I will meet you at the main entrance on St. Clements Avenue, and we appreciate your cooperation as we follow the building’s strict security protocols. The doors of the school will be closed at 1:00pm so please don't be late! 

For students who are in the morning session as well, they are welcome to wait at the school between sessions.

⚠️ Allergy Alert! 
Nut-Free Facility: Please do not send any nuts or peanuts with your child.

Shellfish Allergy Alert: Due to a high number of campers with shellfish allergies, we also ask that no shellfish products be brought.

📚 What to Bring

  1. Water Bottle and Snack (Nut Free, Peanut Free and Shellfish Free)
  2. Writing utensils - pencils, pens, markers, erasers, etc. 
  3. A positive attitude!

How the program works: 

  • Throughout the week, we will be going through a variety of topics, including how to manage your spending, saving and investing, learning the golden rules of savings, understanding banking, taxes, and more!
  • We will have booklets full of interactive activities and games for the campers to complete as we go through content to consolidate their learning
  • We will take short breaks throughout to re-set and fully engage our attention!
  • Camper participation will be encouraged through asking and answering questions.

About Mahveen

I am a third year University of Toronto student, majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Political Science and Biomedical Ethics. I have been teaching a variety of programs at Explorer Hop for the past 2 years, including Model UN, Finance Literacy, and Entrepreneurship. I have lived in five different countries and I love to travel, giving me a well rounded, inclusive and diverse perspective. My primary objective this summer is to ensure that all campers gain valuable knowledge and enjoy a positive, engaging experience!
