Hi everyone! My name is Mahveen Khalil, and I am the Operations Coordinator as well as a Program Instructor at Explorer Hop!
I am entering my fourth year of undergraduate study at the University of Toronto, majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Political Science and Biomedical Ethics. This will be my fourth year teaching a variety of programs at Explorer Hop, including Model UN, Financial Literacy, Young Investors, and Entrepreneurship. I have lived in five different countries, and I love to travel, which gives me a well-rounded, inclusive and diverse perspective. I am hoping to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology or other related fields - happy to get any wisdom others in the field are willing to give me as I try to make this decision!

Teen Entrepreneurs is a program that our CEO, Hasina Lookman created, and it has launched over 500 youth businesses! It truly is a fun experience.

General Information:
📍 Location
All of our in-person summer camps will be held at:
St. Clements School, 21 St. Clements Avenue, Toronto, ON M4R 1G8
🕒 Please arrive at 12:45pm!
👋 I will meet you at the main entrance on St. Clements Avenue, and we appreciate your cooperation as we follow the building’s strict security protocols. The doors of the school will be closed and instructors will commence class at 1:00pm sharp so please don't be late so please don't be late! All students will be self-dismissed at noon.
⚠️ Allergy Alert!
Nut-Free Facility: Please do not send any nuts or peanuts with your child.
Shellfish Allergy Alert: Due to a high number of campers with shellfish allergies, we also ask that no shellfish products be brought.
📚 What to Bring
- A lot of ideas!
- A laptop - the school will provide us with wifi and I will share the details on the first day of camp.
How the program works:
- Here is the challenge: You have ZERO dollars and 5 days to launch a business.
- We will define a product idea and launch it inside 5 days - so there is quite a lot of exciting things to do.
- You will learn how to create a product, test sales potential, market it, analyze finances, create operational plan and finally sell it!
