The Math Hackathon (October 18-20, 2024) is a global math competition where contestants use math to solve one of our world's most pressing issues. We are aligned with the United Nations Sustainability Plan and challenge students around the world to find a solution to a problem we all face using the math they know.

What is the competition all about?
- We pick a theme aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals every year
- We describe a challenge in a case scenario
- Contestants find a solution using whatever math they know
In the last 3 years, our contestants solved the problem of vaccine deliveries in underprivileged countries, created sustainable living communities by designing a walkable city and worked on solutions for sustainability and inequality.
This year's theme is keeping our oceans clean.
