Day 2. January 21, 2026
CEO of the week: Ziyaan Please get the logo from Zoe and then add that to a Canva poster image, which advertises the event to put up around school.
What we learned
Today we learned the concept of Minimum Viable Product - what is the absolute minimum you need to spent and have on the product to make it sellable.
Students who have selected their products went through their products to determine what costs they didn't need or were "nice to have".
Here is what they need to do:
- Create a comprehensive list of everything they used to manufacture their product.
- Find the exact cost of all these inputs/ingredients.
- Determine how many items you can make with these ingredients - this gives you the total
- Now divide this by the quantity to figure out the price for one unit of your product.
⭐ Example:
If all your ingredients cost $11, and you made 10 cups of lemonade, then:
$11 ÷ 10 = $1.10 per cup
So the unit price is $1.10.
Now, see if the sale price you had in mind is still higher or if other alterations are needed .
Product Update - Next week all products have to be finalized.

Day 1. January 14, 2026
Hi Everyone
Welcome to Young Entrepreneurs. Throughout this term, we will learn how to build a business while developing our own product. We have only 8 hours for the class so you will need to do some work at home.
Overview + Product info
On Day 1, we talked about products and we like to start by that because this is what you will be selling at the end.
Below are the Teams and the Products. You are more than welcome to change your product. Just remember these rules:
- You need to be able to make the product on your own
- You should be able to make a few of them over the coming weeks so that you have enough to sell. So, don't pick something that takes a lot of time because you won't have time to make multiple products.
Sale Date: Our Sale Date is March 5, and the school will tell us where it will be. Our event is called Summit Spring Sale and every week we will have an overall CEO who will be responsible for an aspect of planning the event.
