Q: How many lessons are included in this bundle?
A: The bundle includes over 80 lessons covering approximately 110 hours of instruction. Please see sample Lesson Plans and Activities in the images and videos above. 

Q: What components are included in each lesson?
A: Each lesson features Minds On, Action, Consolidation, and Exit Tickets, along with follow-up projects, group activities, worksheets and quizzes. 

Q: Are the lesson plans easy to follow?
A: Yes! The lesson plans are created by educational experts for teachers and include detailed, step-by-step instructions suitable for all educators, including supply teachers. Please click on the images above to see an example of a lesson plan. 

Q: What is the layout of each lesson plan?

Check out the video of the lesson plan in the images above. The layout of each lesson is as follows:

  • Minds-On - 10 minutes per lesson: A discussion activity to get students’ minds geared up. One per lesson. 

  • Action - 25 minutes per lesson: Easy to understand material in slide deck format - some of the longer ones are broken up into easy to follow parts. One part lesson.

  • Consolidation - 30 minutes per lesson: Range of activities including Projects, Quizzes, and Worksheets. One to four per lesson

  • Exit Ticket - 10 minutes per lesson: 2-4 questions curated for the lesson to confirm student understanding. One per lesson.

  • Unit Tests and Final Exam - 75 minutes each: Testing knowledge of course content to ensure students are on track and understanding material

Q: How are consolidation activities designed?
A: Consolidation activities are engaging and fun, designed to reinforce key concepts while keeping students motivated and involved. Please see the images above for an idea of each type of our consolidation activities (projects, classroom group activities, quizzes, worksheets etc). 

Q: Are the slides included suitable for all learners?
A: Yes. The slides are concise and clear, helping students grasp concepts without feeling overwhelmed. Students with a student subscription can re-visit them as many times as needed.

Q: Can I print or distribute the materials?
A: No. All materials are copyrighted and cannot be printed, copied, or distributed without permission. Materials can only be presented on screen during class unless a Student Subscription is purchased. We strongly recommend a student subscription.

Will I get Ontario High School Credit? 

Please select one of these options to qualify for the credit: ON School Credit or ON Express Credit

  • ON School Credit gives you 8 months to do 110 hours
  • ON Express Credit is an accelerated program where you have 4 months to do 110 hours

Please note: If you start the program with the No Credit option, you will need to re-register and redo completed modules to get the credit to meet ministry requirements. 

Please be aware that, as per Ministry guidelines, Explorer Hop Academy has a mandatory minimum requirement of 14 days of enrolment for students to be eligible for a midterm report card and 28 days of enrolment to be eligible for a final report card.

What will you learn?

In this course, we will take you through a multitude of key subject matters surrounding entrepreneurship, allowing you to become knowledgeable about and get comfortable with creating new ventures and setting up your own business. 

The aim of this course is to help you put together a business plan. You acquire the skills and knowledge of entrepreneurs either by holding events and businesses or by completing an online venture plan. You will use these skills creatively from scratch from coming up with business ideas and putting together a comprehensive plan.

This course focuses on ways in which entrepreneurs recognize opportunities, generate ideas, and organize resources to plan successful ventures that enable them to achieve their goals. Students will create a venture plan for a school-based or student-run business. Through hands-on experiences, students will have opportunities to develop the values, traits, and skills most often associated with successful entrepreneurs.

Overall Expectations:
By the end of this course, students will:
•analyze the characteristics and contributions of enterprising people
•compare the characteristics and contributions of various entrepreneurs
•assess their own entrepreneurial and enterprising potential.
