Foods from India - Yummy Masala Chai Latte

Mira and Teyus return from their Adventure in India to tell their Grandma all about the Taj Mahal and the elephants, and of course their friend Hari!  Grandma Tara has just been to the Indian store on Gerrard Street and has some spices to make Chai Latte for them.

All traditional Indian tea is Chai Latte.  In India, it is simply called "Masala Chai".  "Masala" means Spices and "Chai"means Tea in Hindi.  The tea leaves are cooked with equal quantities of water and milk, with lots of spices like cinnamon, cardamon, ginger, and whatever else the person likes.  Here is our Yummy Chai Latte recipe.

Chai is normally served with Samosas and Laddus
