General Course Information

About the Course:

Camp Millionaire Series is a globally recognized program that teaches youth investing. At every step, students learn hands-on trading and investing in a simulated virtual trading environment.

Level 5 (Portfolio Building & Macroeconomics)  builds on previous knowledge from Level 1 (Stock Market Fundamentals), Level 2 (Mutual Funds & ETF), Level 3 (Global Finance) and Level 4 (Taxes and Bitcoin).

This course teaches students techniques to identify and build optimal investment portfolios.  They learn SWOT Analysis, Porter’s 5, how to read a company's financial & cash flow statements,  and their ESG score (Environmental, Social and Governance). They also learn about the need for liquidity and how forces such as inflation and interest rates impact their portfolios.

Finally, they will learn how to use all the knowledge they have gained to create a customized portfolio for themselves.

What Will You Learn?

In this course, students will learn how to build a portfolio that meets their needs.

The course starts with strategies on how to build a portfolio and analyze risk.

Thereafter, it moves to understand how to select investments for your portfolio using techniques such as SWOT and Porter's 5 Forces.  Once stocks have been selected, we do a deep dive into a company's financial & cash flow statements,  and their ESG score (Environmental, Social and Governance).

We then look at forces impacting the whole market, such as inflation & hyperinflation, and get a good sense of the macroeconomic impacts on the whole market and on the company you have selected.

A strong lesson on the need for liquidity follows, which talks about the need to have really available cash. This is then followed with a solid understanding of how to calculate simple and compound interest.

Finally, we go beyond traditional stock market investing to look at real estate and REITS to create a unified custom portfolio.

Make a difference to your family

ExplorerHop students learn how to plan for their future. Early financial literacy empowers children to understand and challenge how the world works. When your child understands the value of money, they can begin actualizing practical ways to grow it.

Many of our courses offer the choice to purchase a supplementary app. The app is an engaging online learning module designed for your child. Each stage of the module offers exclusive content and interactive games that will help your child progress through the course. With the app your child will have access to these resources at all times, allowing for additional learning and support between classes. The app is offered through Canvas, and the student will be set up after starting the course.
